Mark Osten, MD, FRCPC

Dr. Mark Osten obtained his medical degree at McMaster University in 2000. He performed a six-year residency in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the University of Toronto where he specialized in Interventional Cardiology and Adult Congenital/Structural Heart disease. Dr. Osten is an Interventional Cardiologist with Toronto General Hospital, University Health Network and the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre. He is also an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto.

 

Dr. Osten is board certified in Adult Cardiology in Canada and the United States.

 

His academic interests include working with novel minimally invasive therapies for the treatment of Valvular, Structural, and Adult Congenital heart disease as well as percutaneous coronary interventions.

 

He has presented at major international cardiovascular research meetings, co-authored textbooks and published in major cardiovascular journals including Circulation, Journal of the American College of Cardiology and American Journal of cardiology. He is engaged in ongoing research and clinical trials in the field of Adult Congenital and Structural Interventional heart disease. He is actively involved in training physicians around the world in new structural and valvular heart disease therapies.
